Rachel Lawrie is an International Project Manager at GHS. She also serves as Executive Director of the US-Arab Health Forum which she co-founded. (Click here to learn more.)
Rachel is fluent in Arabic and concentrates on GHS work in the Middle East. She also works with the global development banks based in Washington
Rachel has worked on the development of
healthcare facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. She has
also assisted in the development of workforce
and education programs to place clinicians in
the Middle East.
Prior to joining GHS, Rachel graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies. Her interest in the Middle East began as she worked with sex-trafficking victims throughout high school. Her interests have since developed into a focus on how to empower marginalized groups through employment.
She has spent a significant time in both Jordan and Egypt working with various non-profits and she is currently working on an independent project of employing refugees in the private sector.
